  • Diagnosis of Artery Diseases: Angiography is used to detect blockages and narrowings in the arteries.
  • Evaluation of Organ Function: Angiography helps with the overall function of organs by examining the blood flow to specific organs. Thus, it enables the detection of possible abnormalities or complications.
  • Preoperative Evaluation: Angiography can be used to evaluate blood vessel conditions before surgeries. Helps surgeons minimize risks during the procedure.
  • Immediate Diagnosis: In emergencies such as acute trauma or bleeding, angiography helps to quickly identify the source of the problem and buy time for intervention.
  • Guidance for Interventional Procedures: During angiography, interventional radiologists or cardiologists may benefit from angioplasty to treat arterial occlusions or malformations.

Overall, angiography plays a crucial role in the diagnosis and management of various vascular disorders and contributes significantly to improving patient outcomes and overall healthcare quality.

Echocardiography (ECO)

Echocardiography

An echocardiogram, also known as “heart ultrasound” and “heart sonogram”  is a technical procedure that sends high-frequency sound waves to understand the condition of your heart. The main aim of doing an echocardiogram is to find out the patient’s heart problems.

Echocardiography does not use radiation. This can be seen as an advantage to avoid long-term side effects of small amounts of radiation. There are different types of echocardiograms; transthoracic, exercise stress, and transesophageal. The technics are different in echocardiography, including Doppler ultrasound and color Doppler ultrasound.

You can talk to your medical adviser to understand which ones are more suitable for your condition.

Electrocardiography (ECG)

Electrocardiography

An electrocardiogram (ECG) is a test that doctors use to check a person’s heart rhythm and also electrical movement. In an electrocardiogram section sensors are used and attached to the skin to detect electrical signals each time your heart beats. Your doctor checks these recorded signals if everything is fine with your heart or if there is something unusual.

There are three types of Electrocardiograms:

  • Resting Electrocardiogram: Used while a person is in a comfortable position.
  • Stress or exercise electrocardiogram: Used while a person is on a treadmill or an exercise bike.
  • Ambulotary electrodiogram: A portable machine with sensors is used while the person is at home for one day or more for monitoring.

ECG With Effort (Effect Test)

Ecgwith Effort

ECG with effort is a test for how the patient’s heart is working during physical activity. In this test, the heart beats faster and all of its activity can be monitored and effect test can record if something is unusual with your heart activities while it has to work more than usual.

An ECG with effort test can show doctors:

  • How treatment should be chosen
  • How well present heart treatment is working
  • How serious the patient’s heart condition is

If the test results are fine, but your symptoms get worse, your doctor might recommend other tests.

Scintigraphy

scintigraphy

Myocardial scintigraphy is a test to detect decreased blood flow to the heart muscle. Myocardial scintigraphy is known as one of the most accurate methods for detecting circulatory disorders of the heart muscle at an early stage. It plays a role in the risk assessment of patients with suspected coronary heart disease as well as known cases.

Myocardial scintigraphy can provide an early detection of circulatory disturbances of the heart which may help to prevent a heart attack.

The best thing about myocardial scintigraphy is to examine the blood flow to the heart muscle at rest and during exercise without surgical intervention.
